Kristin Fisher joined CNN on July 20, 2021. She is CNN's Space and Defense Correspondent. In her new position she is responsible for covering everything from NASA and the newly created Space Force, to commercial space firms and the emergence in space travel. Being the child of two NASA astronauts Kristin has a background in the industry of space. She worked for the past five years covering the Trump and Biden Space Policy of the Administration as an White House Correspondent for FOX News. In addition to covering impeachment trials of two presidents and the presidential campaign for 2020, and the two administrations' attempts to limit the outbreak of coronavirus Kristin also covered a variety of other things. The former president Donald Trump traveled to Afghanistan on a highly-restricted trip. Prior to joining the network in the year 2015, Kristin spent nearly a 10 years working her way up through the local news channels which included Grand Junction, Colorado; Little Rock, Arkansas; and Washington, D.C. where she received the Emmy Award as a one-man-band reporter for the Washington, D.C.'s CBS affiliate. Kristin utilized her knowledge in the field to create Field Mouse Films. The company specialized in producing documentary-style films and was a favorite of corporate clients like Uber, Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Kristin is a graduate in journalism from Boston University. She is currently living in Washington, D.C., along with her family members, including their 3-year-old daughter.
