Alicia Witt began performing music on screen as a child although she's more well-known as an actress. Also, she's worked as a singer and songwriter. Her debut album in 2009, released after she had mainly performed as a pianist, revealed her obvious debt to Elton John. Revisionary History - her debut album - was recorded by Ben Folds and released in 2015. The Conduit was her next album, which made her debut as a co-producer. Alicia Witt first appeared onscreen in 1984 when she played Alia Atreides, a character in David Lynch's film adaptation of Frank Herbert's Dune. She wasn't even ten years older, and it's no to say that she was being pigeonholed as an actress, not a musician, despite the fact that she had been playing piano at least for the same amount of time as she'd been performing.
